NEW BMW MOTORRAD BIKE

BMW MOTORRAD RECALLS NORTH AMERICA MADE F650, F800 AND G650 MOTORCYCLES After cars, it is motorcycle recall time for BMW. The German car and motorcycle maker, which just recalled the BMW 1 Series Coupe sometime ago is saddled with a new recall. In the past, BMW Motorrad recalled 122,000 motorcycles with braking issues. Now, another new problem has manifested, although in a lesser measure in terms of number of motorcycles affected. The latest recall involves two potentially life threatening issues.

Number one: A potential roll gear pin’s mounting attachment failure leading to it breaking. This could happen on the 2007 and 2008 G 650 models leading to the rear wheel of these motorcycle locking up. If this does happen, a crash is most likely.
Number two: The drive chain may snap in the 2008 and 2009 F 650 GS and F 800 GS models resulting in the rear wheel locking up as fragments of the chain might get entangled in the sprocket. this also could lead to a very nasty crash.
To make sure that all is well with these motorcycles, BMW Motorrad is recalling these motorcycles which have been manufactured at it’s North American plant. Lets hope that the problems get sorted out at the earliest before it claims or maims a precious life.
